Start of the day..

Bulkhead, camera was on the bottle by this point...

Engines 99% done, just need to torque up the flywheel main bolt, fit the wok cover and starter then it's ready to go in. Just got to paint driveshafts, subby and hubs then it can go in!

Copper lines to fit too then it'll be about ready to try and start up :)

Just got a few other things to fasten back up, then lay the new copper lines and I can think about starting it up then :) A few other pictures from yesterday...

hoping to have it running tomorrow, but my local RR doesn't open up again until the 7th, so I'll just be getting it 100% finished until then, refitting the dash, few aux gauges etc. Should hopefully be a flyer when it's done! *happy*

Did a bit more today...

Wrapped the manifold in asbestos tape..

Refitted the hubs, discs, caliper and flanges..

Then when the wheels where back on she went back up on 4 ramps, so I could fit the downpipe and exhaust system aswell as the gear selectors...

Modded the downpipe clamp to accept the maniflow 2" apposed to the standard 1.7/8"

Plumbing the fuel lines tomorow morning, aswell as a little wiring then it should be all good to get her running hopefully!

got a fair bit done today on the car, should be ready to fire up in the next few days!

Fuel filters in, fuel lines are layed, returns got a lovely kink it in i'll sort out tomorow...

FPR's mounted, all flexy's cut and clamped up, fixed my broken plenum take off, got an air line fitting, and tapped the housing, made for quite a neat job I think! Air filters fitted, Rads in, heaters half done, just a few more bits and bobs then it'll be done..

Left well alone for the night!

Right, just thought I'd slap up some pictures of recent work...

Most of it's yesterdays work thou, apart from the interior...

Wheeled her out to clean the garage up a bit...

In good time too, this scared the living shit out of me..

Annnyway, quick picture while it was out there...

Fitted the oil pressure gauge, and the engine bays finished now, so here's a finished picture!

Put the dashboard back in today, fitted the bleed valve in there, relocated a few switches up into the dash too.. (The carbon look pod is'nt staying, just got it fitted and was stressed after trying to find the holes for the screws, took me ages! Bloodey things.)

Just brought a metro turbo fuel pump too, so it should be up and running soon! Just got to fit the pump, then take it to be setup providing it starts alright etc! :)

it was the old battery, it popped as I forgot it kept getting charged every time I flick the switch for the heater in the garage and the lamp etc, so it's had about 3 weeks charge! Had some of the plugs removed thou which confuses me. Got a 306TD battery in the boot now which has a massive cranking power compared. Tried to start her up yesterday too, but the fuel pump is pathetic and it's only trickling through to the regulator. Brought a metro turbo pump which should be here tomorrow or saturday. It did manage to start and run but then died down due to a lack of fuel getting through, sucks but that's the way it goes...

Dunno whats going off with the pictures mind, here's a link to my photobucket if anybody's interested...

lol! a lad at college got very very lucky with one. it popped as he was drop testing it!

he was doing some grinding so had full overalls and googles on and one of the others at his work asked him to quickly drop test a battery that had just been charges because he was closer! BANG.

if he hadnt been doing the grinding he wouldnt have had the overalls or googles on! messy!

Yeah, before fitting the oil feed from the filter I did as you said, slapped some in the pump hole, pushed it backwards in 2nd gear. Turned the engine over for a while and it popped straight up to 45-50 psi , so no trouble at all thanks buddy!
