Hi,

Anyone know a source for info on Siemens injectors?
I have a small injector off of a little Peugeot Jetforce scooter I'm trying to get data on, and Siemens don't seem to want to play ball.

Cheers

Andy

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Whats the part number?

I work for siemens (a completely different side of the business) but maybe if the question is "internal" so to speak they may play ball?

i dont mind firing them an email from work.

Great Iain, I think you may well be able to get the info for me.

The injector is a top feed 'Deka' model. the number on the injector is 337/004. There is another number on the injector- 1295, but I think that may just be a batch number or something.

It was taken from a Peugeot Jetforce 125cc scooter, which produces about 12.5bhp.

My engine produces about 13bhp, so I think I may just get away with it.

I believe the injector has been developed in partnership with a company called Orbital, and this spin off has spawned an additional outfit called Synerject who specialise in developing small fuel injection systems for both two and four-stroke engines. unfortunately they don't respond to my emails- probably too much of a small fish, or just a crazy person (probably correct)!

Just one more thing. I also have the throttle body off the same bike, this is a unit produced by Bing, and i have the info on that. However it also uses an Idle air control valve made by Synerject.

I don't know if Siemens will have the data on this, but it's worth a shot. The code number on the unit is 379-008. It looks like it's a solenoid operated diaphragm (only two control wires- so it's not a stepper motor)- my best guess, as it's a sealed for life unit, and I'd have to destroy it if I opened it up.

Thanks,

Andy

What exactly do you want then? The flowate?
Why not just get it tested?

That injector is nothing special btw; it's just the lucas/bosch body. The most common injector around.

Yep it's the flowrate I'm after.
If Iain doesn't have any luck, do you know where I can get the injector tested?

I guess if it came to it, I could rig something up myself, but then again it might be simpler, and cheaper to just get an injector that I knew the spec of.

The injector came as a package with the small (26mm diameter) throttle body.

I don't know for sure if there is anything special about it. I do know that Synerject use a standard injector, but the jet is developed towards smaller engines.

Before I found this, I was looking for injectors off cars in the 1100-1300 range with mpi.

Found this place on google-

http://www.injectorcleaning.co.uk/index.htm

They offer a full flow test, ultrasonic clean and retest for £11-75

Seems reasonable.

Any better offers?
