Do we need to use the ford escort/fiesta edis one?

I know people have trouble with the cosworth ones, but I was thinking about using a vauxhall one, as they seem to be plentiful on ebay....

Would it work or am I dreaming?

If using EDIS just use the ford one. They are plentiful. I have a few spare, I think, if you need one.

I'd bet there are at least 2 or 3 of these crank sensors in every scrapyard in the land! Not hard to get hold of at all!

old thread I know, but is a cps from any ford ok with megajolt? even a v6 engined one?

Ideally you want a car with EDIS on it.
You can get brand new ones from motor factors for not a lot of money or from Ford for £18.
