It is interesting indeed. They need to correct the fact that it cannot be distributorless but other than that it's nice. And anything developped for the standard MS-II wiil be compatible.

The current version of MS-II and the upcoming versions only have a single ignition output. The distributorless version (up to 6 ignition outputs) is the MSnS-extra which is only available for MS-I which is the HC908 processor with assembler code. The MS-II and the microsquirt have the HCS12 processor and C code. |

All of the Ford EDIS, GM HEI, and stuff still works in MSII, as far as I have seen and they are all distributorless. -Tyler

You're right. I was thinking of direct ignition control without an external ignition module and forgot about those. I know that Ford EDIS and TFI work but I'm not sure about GM or others. |

That is quite interesting, but I would like to see the price. Based on the price of the surface mount price of the MSII I think it will be expensive. I guess for a motorbike or lawn mower it will be very useful. I water proof my MS by putting it inside the car. Even in a leaky mini it stays perfectly dry. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

There are three holes already, but I was parked so that the water all went to the back and the holes are up front.
