BTW - I took my buddy VTEC Pete out for a spin this weekend, and even though I am running her in, he gave it a name, the "Brocket"...cause I'm a brocket maaannn, nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah....

Must have been 99 ! But that was the red turbo I built in 96 for my college project !! but actually you may ave seen this one it had a full length sun roof !! Had to weld a new roof on lol.

Have cut out the arches and back seat and pockets

Might be my imagination - but the whole box looks to be a little wider than standard - so it might not be as critical?

Even so- a little more clearance wouldn't go amiss!

Good eyes guys...

Yep, its a custom box, its wider and deeper, fully seam welded and from thicker steel than the ones you can buy.
Hopefully there should be plenty of room... *wink*

I also put a slope on the bottom shelf to let any rain water roll off that may find its way down the air intake !!

ni on identical box as mine, it is twice as deep as the standard one, but i cut the angle in anyway just in case.....car is looking swell by the way good job !!!

Very nice job.

Yes I learn't from the first turbo I built that water likes to sit on it !!

Just checking out you build link, looks sweet...

That how I was planning to run my intercooler pipes *happy*

but my 2wd cossy cooler will be parrallel above my front mounted rad or below, haven't decide where to put the oil cooler yet, slighty more room with the fibre glass front

Etch primed and stone chipped underneath, inner wings, rear wheel arches and interior ready for top coat, outside 12 hundreded and stoppered...

Well thats the body back from paint and slowly getting put back together. Just don't seem to have the time at the moment!! Just want to get it running and then I will get everything painted and polished on the engine. Will fit the intercooler after that.

Finished of the recon job on the blower and moded the plenum for dump valve and intercooler. Is it wrong for me to be excited ? as I can't wait to bolt these on !!!

Just thought I put some pics up as I've made a bit more progress, actually went for a sneaky drive up the cul-de-sac and back today!! its the first time I've had it out now to get the wheel arches on etc.

Once its on the road I will start on the high boost engine, will use the quaife lsd I'm getting through the tm group buy in that. Benross has sorted the head, should be good for a few bannas... *smiley*
