I used to live 3 miles from Min-its so used to pop in regularly for parts.

I now live 100miles away, but still use them regularly to mail order parts.

They keep in stock the majority of items, everything I have ever bought there has been good quality, and I must have purchased the majority of their parts list by now. They are also always competitive on pricing.

The other big thing for me is their postage, unlike certain companies who charge you £7.50 to send anything, Min-its will post smaller items for the cost of Royal Mail postage, how it should be to be honest!

Also always ready to advise you if you are not sure on which parts are best for your needs, and best of all, a small company run by its owner, who takes a genuine interest in the car you are building etc. I have been a customer of Dave at Min-its for 9 years now, although I don't actually visit the shop often anymore, when I did pop in about 12 months ago, he was pleased to see me and had a good chat about what I had been up to etc.

Is Dave still in charge? I thought he sold the business or something...

Spent a lot of money with them, and had only one mistake order in years. Good to know they're still decent...

He was there the other day as I spoke to him on the phone. Not sure if has sold it or not though?

Definately still decent, they are my no. 1 source of parts TBH.

I looked at using them but I prefer to do business over the net - especially from where I live. Do you know if they have a website - or an email at least?

No they don't.

Pick up the phone and speak to them, doing that does everything an email can with the bonus that you get the answer straightaway, and maybe some additional helpful info you were not expecting.

i agree 100%. All of my parts come from this bloke. also dave still workes there and he is a top bloke. i am unsure if he is still the owner tho. and they sell alot more than is listed in the advert as well. all at a good price.

yup i've started using them instead of minispares now. minispares (midlands) are fairly local to me but have never got anything in stock. bit more of a drive to minits but they're open till 3pm on a saturday which is a bonus as i can't do mail/internet ordering due to no cards.

I'd agree on the advice being spot on, he even talked me out of buying the rose jointed bottom arms and said to use the cheaper adjustable ones, not very often you find a place that will sell you whats best for you rather than the most expensive thing they can.

I'll have to give them a ring nest time I'm ordering - not many places get so many thumbs up
