Good afternoon all , I have been an active user of this forum for some time and have used the knowledge and information here to create my own Turbo estate.

I haven't posted a build as I haven't had time with working full time and three kiddly winks so every spare minute has been building.

I am 98% done and I've had a little drive this weekend just a few little jobs to get it ready for Bingley on Sunday.

Nice, that is a fat intercooler, so much room in the clubby bay! It's the last bits that take the longest, but keep at it!

So nice little update I have set the front suspension had some teething trouble with the megajolt & plug leads being wrong way and the timing being out. Fuel leak now fixed and I've had a spirited drive with the boost set at standard then one turn on the boost bleed and then a second I couldn't get the smile off my face all weekend.

oil temp is too high @120 deg so I have ordered a setrab cooler from MED to plumb in then I will drop the oil and filter and book in at my local RR.

You may want to consider a Mocol oil stat.

Nice looking car, I really fancy an estate or van

Oil temps were something I never monitored back when I had mine....and never once in tens of thousands of miles of fairly hard abuse did I ever have an oil related problem

Are you sure the reading is correct ?

Edited by stevieturbo on 4th Apr, 2023.

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

That is a good Point Stevie I have the cooler now so I will fit and see. It is a new matched gauge and sender which takes the reading from the oil filter housing so I have no reason to doubt it. It is the run in oil so will have all the assy grease mixed in with it.

I will throw it all on and see what the result is.

If you ever have to run at night on a motorway you may see your oil temp drop too low. Had this happen to me coming round the M25. Engine let go in a big cloud of white smoke. It's the only reason I fitted it.
