Because my MG Metro turbo engined mini doesn’t run well when on boost I was searching on this forum and stumbled on this topic; http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=6298
Mentioned there is that the amplifier module could cause trouble when not using the correct black Lucas electronic Ignition coil. When I look at my coil, it surely is not black.
Which type is correct and is it still available?
Which amplifier module and condensor should I have?

Thanks
Harold

I would imagine you cannot easily bolt on the wrong module to the distributor ?

And exactly what coil are you using ?

And what problems are you having ? Has it been tuned properly to run on boost ? what is fueling like ? what plugs ? plug gap ?

Although probably not available anymore, I used this Crane coil with mine years ago. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRN-730-0091

But really if you could move to a distributorless system, it would be better.

In my experience, the module works or it doesn't. You could be suffering from blowing out the spark. This occurs as the pressure at the point of ignition is so high the charge can't jump the gap. I would start with the plugs and dizzy cap. Make sure there Are no deposits on the contacts. You don't need all singing and dancing leads standard ones are more than ample. If the issue persists then look at the coil.
