Hi everyone,

Quick update on the project, and the various other things I've been working on.

I've been spending most of my time finishing the XK8 to sell it. It's been a whirlwind of issues, and most of it was lambda related! But it's all fixed and on the road once more. Despite now developing a water leak on the drivers door.

I've also spent a large amount of time getting my berlingo ready for winter, including adding a split charge kit, and a diesel heater under the false floor. It's been well worth it, as now I can use the fob to turn the heater on when i get out of bed, and by the time I jump in the car to go to work, it's hotter than my coffee! and free of ice on the windows.

The mini hasn't been left out either, firstly I carried on exploring my desire to fit another cylinderhead to the block. I went with the original idea, pioneered by Robert, of the Fiat 1.2 engine. Grabbed a head gasket just to check and it only bloody lines up a treat! So the next phase of the engine building is buying a fiat engine to strip down, and then plugging and re-drilling my mini block for the fiat head.

I've also spent a lot of time cutting and welding new parts to the left hand side of the mini.

Mainly just a repeat of the right hand side, but with my welding skills improved a lot more.

I've still got the front left to do, where it transitions to the toe board, but I'm getting there.

The rush is on, as I should hopefully be moving house in the start of 2023, and the mini is going to be tucked up at a warehouse at work whilst I build my dream garage. I will still carry on working on the engine in the mean time.

I've also done the last round of the mini-sport-cup with my uncle, and we did really well until the bloody exhaust fell off! Never mind!

Have a great christmas everyone!

Loz
