Am I right in that I seem to remember someone doing the BMW K head conversion had drilled the stud holes out in the head to make it easier (no rubber mallet needed) fit ?

If the studs are drilled correctly and squarely in the block its not an issue surely?

All drilled on a pillar drill and tapped by hand Shane, couple are not perfectly square. Head goes on ok but can't get it off without a few taps with my rubber mallet. Edited by DILLIGAF on 15th Aug, 2022. |

Might be worth trying to search for sectioned head.

Yep already found that thread thanks bud, 3/8" clearance drill size is 9.80mm. If you look down the stud holes you can see they appear to be sleeved, this was done for a reason well you'd think it was lol.
