Typical for a full flow rail install, the reg will be mounted after the rails.

But there are multiple options.

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

For my K Build I mounted direct to the rail, but initially it was remote.

Initially i thought the same but the under bonnet clearance on the 7 port is minimal.

What pressure regulator are you using?
I ended up opting for the SC item due to being quite compact and space constraints. An AN6 boss welded to the end of the fuel rail with a NPT to AN6 female fitting installed in to the regulator kept it neat and compact.

I will probably use something small like the jenvey or webcon ones.

Generally you put the regulator at the far end of the fuel rail so the set pressure is delivered to all the injectors and the rest just spilled back to the tank after the fuel rail.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???
