So I’ve finally got my engine up and running, 1310cc 8.1 compression ratio, intercooled, bdd needle, green spring, 20wt oil, part lean off blocked. Now anything more than 30% throttle and goes straight to 8.0afr. Only running 7psi boost as I run it in, and not really reving it past 4K. But any ideas why it’s so rich? It’s perfect at idle and minimal throttle. |

May have found a small air leak at the plenum. To be honest it pulls fine when it comes in boost so may be a wrong reading on the wideband? There is also no smoke when it does boost and reads rich.

Dashpot moves freely. What would be a leaner needle from a BDD to try and work from? Use the minty lamb su site to compare needles. BDD is standard metro turbo needle so I don't see how it can be so rich all the time. The air leak would probably make it run lean rather then rich |
