my mates just bought a metro turbo engine with 42,000 miles on it , hes wanting to run it on a weber 45 ,however i think hel need to alter the compression ratio to suit , i may add he only has the full block, head and gearbox but no turbo or plenum ,hence the carb route, any thoughts on this thanks, Edited by mk1 turbo on 9th Oct, 2020. |

No benefit to running a standard 63hp engine on a Weber, probably happier on an su. They should run well in NA tune at 9.4 standard turbo compression. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

He's just adding complication that isnt needed.

He's just adding complication that isnt needed. Turbo SU works, is easy enough to tune and easier to fit. Although why bother with a turbo engine...and no turbo ? Seems pointless...and even less worth doing a DCOE. |
