Hi, I’ve just tried to fit my new 266 Kent cam as I rebuild the block on my 998. I’ve purchased a MED turbo oil pump. When trying to fit the cam sits about 10mm proud of the block. From my research it looks like the slot drive on the oil pump is longer than a std 998 pump. What are my options here? Does anyone know where to source a spacer from. It looks like somerfield used to stock one, but not anymore. Thanks for any advice. Scott. |

The 998 block is shorter and uses a different oil pump. Either use a 998 pump or get someone to modify the pump that you have. I've cut down the spindle on mine. Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

Thank Paul, I was considering that option. Somehow just did want to start hacking at a new pump. Good to see someone else has done it without issue. Thanks. |
