No wonder the person that keeps creating new login identities is confused.

But he/she is back in 2015 still, I wonder what 2018, or even 2019, will bring......

What you don't realise is the posting that Avonabr is closed is incorrect needs to ne removed because it is incorrect.
Having contacted Google who tell me any incorrect posting should be removed but we cant do so only the Min forus people can do that
I have asked several times and very nicely for it to be removed but obviously falls on deliberate deaf ears .

Following on Vince couldn't handle the techo stuff so asked me to do so. With so much engine work (which is what I'm concentrating on) rather than sell wheels tyres seat etc
I had to ask Vince permission to to do so and AVR Technologies was a name that was close but there was a US company with the same name hence the change to AVR Classics
I couldn't re-use the Avonbar name for legal reasons for 5 years

So in Jan 2016 Avonbar Racing became official
Meanwhile the post needs to be taken down
You wouldn't like it if it were your business.
Have many comments from customers about the post all the time
I just tell them its the Forum that's wrong and they wont take it down - says a lot really

That one you posted is odd in that it’s the almost same name, and do similar stuff...

Hmmmmm, ok so Avonbar has had a bit of a (ahum) ‘chequered past’ with Ian first leaving the business, then becoming AVR, then seeing Avonbar go out of business under the new ownership, then stepping back in himself trying to resurrect the Avonbar name. Or something along those lines...I have read white papers on cold fusion that are less complex than this

I can respect a man trying to make a living, especially someone who through his involvement in the mini scene in the 80’s and 90’s has become somewhat of an integral part of mini history.

However coming on here ‘guns blazing’ making all sorts of demands and basically making an arse of himself is dubious at best.

I am sure had he explained in a calm voice that whereas the 2012 post titled Avonbar Racing now closed was in every way correct back then, it now shows up in the no2 position on Google when searching Avonbar....just after the link to the company website which isn’t helping his business. Especially since you first have to click the ‘is closed now’ link and read the full thread to gain insight into the relevant context.

Turbominis seems highly ranked by Google so in addition to kindly requesting a thread title to be changed - also Ian should understand we by no means Need to. The forum in that respect also is a historic archive....just as we can’t expect the newspapers to change this year’s headline ‘Verstappen screws up Monaco Grand Prix’ as soon as he wins it in 2019. which he will BtW

So in parallel Ian why not admit you’ve been a dick, and just open a new thread on Avonbar being open for business again and fill it to the brim with interesting content / pictures on engine building etc. to get the conversation going and in no time this will rank highest in Google?
