Fitting an MPI rad in anything but an MPI Mini is a pig. The alternator, dizzy, oil filter and bonnet catch will all foul. Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:

How big is the scooter rad ? Idealy i' d like to find something that fit behind the grille and could help the cooling. Haven't plumbed the turbo water cooling yet so I think it will be even hotter with it ... |

I think it was a suziki 125cc scooter. That's all I remember. It came with a small electric spal fan. My build thread..

Why isn’t the Minispares 2 core keeping it cool enough? It should easily keep temps in check.

It can be very hot where I live... the auxiliary fan maybe the best option as last time it spit coolant from the rad was stucked in trafic. Was just a bit scared at how fast the temperature rise on boost but that is probably normal as long as it stops where it should !

Sealing the fan to the wing is also a good idea as the gap is large at the moment. I'm using the plastic 11 blades fan as I couldn't fit the export metal one with the timing cover breather. Is the metal one really more efficient? |
