either or.....in the case of a Mini it'd be more important to use stuff suitable for the iron block/head 9.85 @ 145mph

It's a trade off between how much aluminium based components you've added which see coolant and how much iron and a few other relevant metals and materials are in the mix.

Uni part 3 year Green HOAT summer coolant. Pretty much the same stuff Rover used in the MPi On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

You can use G12++/G13 antifreeze. its got a 5 year lifespan and will work with a mixed metals system, mixed at 50/50 with deionised water it be fine in the system.
