I was thinking of doing a group buy for SC 7 port cylinder heads. Thinking I could possibly get them for around £1400 each, possibly, with around 4/5 people firmly willing to buy. What are peoples thoughts on this?*oh well*

I agree, you really need to strike a deal before offering something.

When I last spoke to John, he suggested that the 7port heads and billet radius arms were more of a show piece and were sold at pretty tight margins. With this in mind, I’d doubt that they would offer discounts for group buys.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Was just a thought really. I'll see what they say. I will probably go heavily modified 5 port anyhoo, for now, and go 7 port injection later on. :/ Still got a huge list of parts to buy. *laughing*

We currently have 3 heads machined. So we have based these prices on a
group buy of 3.

Fully assembled 7 port head

RRP - £1740.00 + VAT
Group discount price - £1500.00 + VAT

Fully assembled 7 port head inc managment (throttles, ECU, wiring loom,
sensors etc)

RRP - £3700.00 + VAT
Group discoun price - £3350.00 + VAT

These prices are based on the cylinder heads as the come. The spec and
contents of the kits can be seen using the link below. Any special
requests i.e chamber size mods/different valves would be additional.

That is a pretty good discount to be fair!

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

At those sorts of prices, I think I'd still go with the Arden. You get more ports ofr your money *hehe!*

I'm not sure you do. The arden is not an amazing head, and you need a special cam and exhaust manifold.

One of the reasons I use this head is it's simplicity of fitment

I'd agree with this, and I have 2! The costs of the associated special parts you need soon makes it really bloody expensive. even worse when you have a lot of good 5 port bits you cant use on it.

I also dont think they have enjoyed anywhere near the development and testing of the 5's, Phil identified a shortcoming on the flowbench straight off when testing mine.
