Not sure what avenue to go down, as I need an A-series gasket with different bore & bore spacing's (unable to mod any standard ones to fit). Cometic are very good but expensive for low production. So looked into copper. Spoke to Mike at Ferriday and he wasn't keen to supply as he felt A-Series engines are a nightmare to seal and pointed be back to cometic. Surely a dry deck / well made and correctly fitted copper or copper with s/steel rings would be good. Top end drag engines use copper with plenty more compression and power than a little old A-series. Does anyone have experience with Ferriday gaskets ?

Fastest A Series Mini in the World

leeds/wakefield.

Iv'e used Ferriday gaskets in the past Gav and at the time I though they were the answer to my problems, but on reflection it was head block face deformation that was my problem,i have since gone back the bk450 on the Don,

sealing rings on an A series would be a very tight fit as you may well know,,

As mike at Ferriday has mentioned to me the block /head needs to be flat as the copper sealing rings he uses do not compress much. surface grinding would be best to get said flat face on head and block as the conventional head skimming machines leave a hollow face.
