Ive stumbled upon the 'noahs ark 2 by 2' minis..
2 mk1's 2 pick ups n 2 roundnose estates/travellers

So ive been told one of the mk1s is a cooper.. and that the engine from it is in the other mk1.. so whats a giveaway from the quick pics ive took?

Also one of the travellers is a smooth roof so what year is that?

These are african imports..

Send me the pictures and details if you like I might be able to help. If they are south african CKDs it might make it harder as there are a few differences to uk market minis.

Smooth roof is pre 67 i think.

Any for sale?

I can help with the mk1 coopers if you need help. I've got both the Mini Cooper register book and Parnell's book.

Out of curiousity I went to have a look these this afternoon, criminal to see what’s been done to a few of them though but nothing irreversible given enough time.
I was surprised to see your dads old monty there tho, part exchanged it for one of the minis?

Id of loved to of heard what you said to him when you saw them shane!

No mate haha dads monty sat behind my house in kessingland for 5 years but ive sold the house and we had nowhere for the old thing to go and we didnt have the heart to scrap it (especially as it started up on the 1st turn n dragged its own ass out the weeds) so a friend of a friend said i could put it in his brothers yard... and thats how i come across these minis..

I was totally gobsmaked by the lack of regard for them, the fact they’d been cut to pieces and seemingly thrown round the yard by his tellehandler. But that aside still commanding/expecting a premium for them.

Having viewed the minis also I have to say that they are imported from Rhodesia as it has the stamp to say they were assembled there. Also the rear window is somewhat odd for a Mk1. The engines that are being sold also are 850's with a cooper or MG/Worsley head. If you are bidding guys be aware of this. Found this info out from previous mini books
I have to agree with Shane on this from as it's criminal what's been done to them
