Does anyone have any pictures of how the Curley front end and bonnet fits. how it fits at the a-panels/scuttle, and the gaps/alignment with the bonet. The POS I'm struggling with at the moment is doing my head in. Every time i fix a problem, it causes an issue somewhere else, and all the slits an extra backing, by the time im finished its gonna weigh the same as a steel front at this rate!

I wanted to see how other companies fare, Curley seem to be a favorite.

Attached is an example of the BS I'm dealing with, I expected to have to fettle a fibreglass front, but not this bad. The black shows the shape the slam panel should be for the grill to fit, the white is what im dealing with.

Arc Angels, the black one is from 'smudger' yeaaars ago, and whilst he had problems with supply, to give him his credit, the quality was spot on, everything fit on it, theres loads of detail, and the bonnet lines up perfectly. Unfortunately I've smashed it to bits :(

I've used the Curley fibre glass two piece front and it needed minimal work to get a good fit. A little bit on the A-panel seams and on the side edge of the bonnet.

If the quality hasn't changed it should be good.

Warwick.

I was happy with my FG front end from Curley.

Unlike the last one I had (as an unused, no name, 2nd hand) the curley front end had all the features the steel panels had, down to the location of seam lines between the fenders and the front panel. Unfortunatly, all the photos I have are hidden away in photobuckets ass system now.
Bearing in mind I had a clubman front though, but my grille mounts to the correct locatoin. The bonnet aperture was the correct shape for the bonnet, which is nice.
My one at least came with a reasonable overhang at the A-Panel and Scuttle, so you wont be able to butt a flange up against the A-Panel flange, but it's not a huge deal, and does leave you with fettling space.

Their carbon lay-up I wasnt happy with. OK if you want it for light weight (but you would just go with gel-coat) but my roof, though without seam in the middle like some places, had distortions in the weave. Like wise with my carbon bumper, The rest of it I was very happy with.

David.
