Theyre not the same, its only a part of it that I need which is the same. Theyre not all that heavy, if I make them from aluminium to match the quarter lite surrounds they will be far too flimsy - I dont want them breaking while Im flying down the road at 130+mph Edited by paul wiginton on 25th May, 2017. As Andy says, they do seem prone to rust, especially the bit that is on the outside of the window. I would say it'd be a shame to spoil a pair of windows that had good catches.

The ones in my original windows are stainless steel, I assumed they all were tbh as Ive never seen or noticed rusty ones.I dont really want to wreck my originals I seriously doubt it! |

Checked mine tonight Paul and they are all rusty im afraid. The one on the left is the best out of the bunch but still not very good.
