Before now i have used a sticky label with the vin written on it in biro. The tester wasn't too keen on it but it still got mot'd |

In fact I think its still on the car so it would have been mot'd 4 times at 2 different places like that. I did it temporary until I ordered a replacement vin plate but I dont think I ever got round to it |

As long as it's marked clearly it's fine. I stamped a bit of stainless for an old car of mine.

I got the plate for a couple quid then borrowed some the letter stamps off a mate and knocked up a few pieces of wood so that it would keep them straight... looks pukka On 24th Oct, 2015 jonny f said:

Used MiniMail for the S but for the Tangerine I stamped it on a piece of ally and riveted it on.

Don,t know how mini ones are done, but on my ancient blue blobule the VIN plate is "reverse stamped" so not so easy to reproduce - although I did get it done for the van. |
