If they're asking that sort of money.....I'm sure any block they're using would also be a fortune.

Although for a new car, how is it passing any IVA type stuff ? Surely bumpers and safety would all be epic fails by todays standards ?

For £70k you could probably design and start producing billet alloy blocks lol

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

Can't you use everything brand new and then have one old item? So an engine from a scrapped car etc would be fine.

The way i read it in another article, they are refurbishing/restoring a car, not building a new one. I assume they would then use the original ID

Yep just a glorified restoration
Can buy the body shells new but they look to be de-seamed
The better value if I could say that was the wood and Pickett margrave ones

But anyone with that sort of money for a mini will invest in an appreciating classic

Just means our cars will be worth a hell of alot more if we plug an ipad in to the ciggie lighter.

Im building my own and i know even with 130% power will be loads cheaper.

There are plenty of arses for those seats at the price tag in my opinion. Make it exclusive and the rich and famous will want one. Just bear in mind what a proper well sorted cooper S is going for now
