Just about to pit the oil in the mini after winter teething problem sort out! :)

One of the problems was an oil leak. Ive attended to several suspect areas. But was wondering if I should put some cheap Halfords 20/50 in for the first start up and say 50 miles, if that! just to make sure it's fixed. As I really don't want to put the can of millers ctv in to find I gotta take engine out again.

Regards,
Josh

I gave up with Millers CVT as it was so expensive. I just use the Minispares cheap 20/50 now. http://minispares.com/product/Classic/Engi...k%20to%20search

has the zddp that is so loved for the gearbox.

My cars don't do a lot of miles, and it's impossible for me to quantify wear. But it's nice thick oil and seems to stay in.

What's wrong with the halfords classic oil? I've been using it for years and haven't had problems?

Nowt I suspect, but minispares is closer to my house than Halfords:)
