Hi all,
I am like a babe in the woods (and not the tanned sort with a great rack in a bikini type) when it comes to turbo Mini's.
I want to fit a turbo and my current spec is:

1330 SC 7 port on ITB's with storm ecu
Calver ST RE13 cam with mini spares 1.5 roller tip rockers.
CR 11.5/1. 114.5bhp and 95ft/lb

I know I need to replace my pistons in order to reduce my CR. But I'm also wondering which turbo to go for and crucially - will my current cam and rollers be a help or a hinderance to achieving more power. Also, recommendations on where to source my new turbo from.
I've commissioned Matt at Fusion Fabrications to make me up a new turbo manifold & downpipe (Matt recommends either a GT1752 or a TD04).

Can anyone out there give me their "tuppence ha'penny's" worth?? Oh, car is mainly 80/20 track/road.
Many Thanks,

Does she burn oil? Hah!...she would if she got some.

Gt17 or td04 are a good choice, the cam depends which version of re13 it is, as there are about three versions it seems, I used an re13t (ground on a 112 degree lca) in my 7 port turbo and liked it, also with 1.5 rockers.

Great, thanks for the response. Sounds like I haven't gone too far off the mark then. Any idea what the difference in boost delivery between the two turbos you mentioned?
Wasn't aware there were different grinds of this cam availabl and don't know which one I have TBH.

well,

the GT17 that is commonly used is from the Saab 95, If I remember correctly, this was replaced with a TD04 of vertually the same specs bit they tend to be a bit more durable than the garret.

Hi folks, couldn't remember my login so had to register again this is civil divil aka desmoben. I've progressed well with the 7 port turbo build but my last hurdle is intercooling. I want the intercooler to sit behind the original grill and the overall space I have is 700x190 (I've cut out the centre strut behind the grill) looking for an intercooler with rear facing in & outlets. Can anyone help with their suggestions of what

It may be worth talking to Radtec, they made me a bespoke rad for my clubby which was great quality and they are very easy to deal with.
And they make intercoolers, especially if you need an odd size and your particular of where the inlet and outlets are located. Just a thought.

Sounds like mine. It's an off the shelf item from Allard. I'll find a link for you.

Hmmm. It's not on the site anymore. http://www.allardaluminiumproducts.co.uk/a...tercoolers.html

An old photo. But shows the intercooler well and isn't on Photobastard.

Many Thanks lads for your input and suggestions . Would be great if I can get an off the shelf number. Need to get my finger out and get my mojo back and get it finished. Do you ever really get finished?

Lowestoft, Suffolk.

Speak to Clare and Bob at concept racing for a bespoke unit, their work is first rate and very reasonably priced.
