I'm looking for a weld on quick release boss kit. They're bloomin' expensive for the well known brands but there are lots of cheap versions on ebay for 1/2 or even 1/4 the price. Has anybody had any experience with them? I can imagine some are better than others, I'd rather not have to buy twice tho on a fairly crucial component, so if its worth spending the money I will, unless anyone's had positive experience with the ebay specials.

The cheap circa £25 items on eBay have very slack tolerances on the splines.

Buy the racetech item, it's great quality and the cheapest of the big brands

I ended up going with the lifeline after weighing up the cheaper versions. Figured I didn't fancy my steering wheel coming off in my hands while on a country lane.

Mine is a hex one and it's shit. Going to get a multi spline one over the winter. I suggest spending money on a quality brand.
