Hello all had my mini for around 4 years now just fully rebuilt a 1275 to a 1312 but now it's all together in debating to turbo or not??

The Turbo head is basically no different to any other 940 casting. The difference lies in the sodium filled exhaust valves. Most people just bin these anyway and run the stainless race valves which are superior.

Can you provide a detailed list of what I will need? Or what I could use off my engine as it stands it hasn't even been run yet so everything's new

The turbo head runs 33mm inlet valves as standard, in which case your 35.6mm inlets won't fit unless you have the head modified to suit. Phil. |

The valve is a hollow stem filled with sodium, which melts at around 100c. On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:
