Any thoughts on what its worth?

Totally rust free as was re-shelled into a heritage shell at a cost of about 4k iirc and kept in dry storage since

No engine in at the moment but comes with enough spares to build another including brand new gt20 turbo, 7 port head omega pistons ect and a couple of blocks cranks ect, gearbox is straight cut with jack knight drops.

I'm not going to speculate on price, however shit seems to sell for good money so you will be looking at something healthy, albeit I would think it would be worth a little more as a riving going concern perhaps

Have to ask why you want rid though. unless your looking for something perhaps more appropriate for the family to enjoy together or your desperate for the cash, I'd hold onto it; it can only go up in value now

I would guess splitting would be the best option to get the best overall price.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Sorry to hear this Neil, but in all honesty you have not given this any justice. The shell is in amazing condition, with genuine sports pack arches, safety devices cage iirc. It was featured in mini world and was an absolute pleasure to be a passanger in, it had very well setup suspension and was blood quick as a 1355 long stroke turbo

What ever your plans are if someone buys it they will have an absolute minter, if you keep it it will keep on as the dog ruff racing mini *smiley*.

I'd do some quick calcs on what it would be worth split. It has never taken anyone much time I don't think to sell a complete car worth of the right bits. Shame to split it though

The money is in breaking it Neil if you decide to dispense with it.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

im thinking the same with mine at the moment, i've had to come to the realisation that im not going to be able to do what i want with the car for some years or ever. The Mrs doesnt like it, but she likes my estate. My paln is to pull out the turbo motor and keep it for my estate at a later date. Sell off the interior parts and sell it as a rolling shell.

I don't know how you guys could ever even think of selling your cars. I've owned mine for nearly 20yrs now and unless some major financial reason caused me to have to sell it, I can't see me ever parting with it.
I've spent countless hours at all times of year, often outside working on it, both me and my Dad. It means more to me emotionally than it ever will financially.
Maybe I'm to attached ..... Lol

As others have said, breaking it is the key to more money. If it was mine it would break my heart doing that. It depends what it means to you I guess ?

We all move on though. Now i've family, there is a temptation to get something more practical for us all to enjoy. Having said that, mine has been in the family since 1989 and was my wifes first car. The little one is desperate to have it as her first car too so I cant imagine we would sell for now

I'm in the same boat as Phil. I've had the car so long it would be hard to sell it... I'm starting to think what is that old bloke doing in this car.... So maybe it will go one day who knows.

I have just totally lost interest, the boys love the car but its not a car I can put the boys in and take to show or event or use for a Sunday blast with them. I also just do not have the time, if I am not working I am spending all my time doing family things.

I have also lost interest in the mini scene, companies and people are to quick to rip each other off, its something I have never seen in Ford or VW world. The shows are not as vibrant again its lost its appeal.

I will look at what I have over the coming weeks and decide what to do.

Cheers Chaps

I can see both sides. It took a lot of thought to decide to sell the hillcimber. But I wanted to do something different and I've never regretted it.

You'd get more money if it had an engine and an MOT I reckon. But then again it's so mint it has a lot of potential uses.

I'm in exactly the same position as Wolfie. Lots of years and hard work gone into it, but I've lost interest in it and it's not practical for the family. Will be for sale in the spring.
