Hello gurus, Just thought i would let you know how the 1360 is going. The car was off to a rough start as the carb setup just did not work. (0 laps) Then we fuel injectected it and did a race. it only worked marginally well as it was a TPS based system and had no altitude compensation and we were at 4000 ft. still gave us a glimse at what was yet to come. Then i started over put a megasquirt system on. Also redesigned the intake and set all of the parameters to give maximum torque at 4000-4500.
What happened was a thing of beauty. Super power! The whole team feels we now have over a hundred hp at the wheels. Downshift into 2nd and it will break loose at any rpm. Third will chirp the tires halfway to fourth. Put it in fourth and pull away from all but the best of the cars on the track. It did this hour after hour with 7 different drivers and never missed a beat did not hesitate ever and started on the first click every time, We have about 25 hours on it and one more race and it will come out for a refresh. new bearings and syncros probably primary gear bushes. This is the best engine i have ever had in any mini. Stays cool. idles like a street car and pulls like a train. Hydro
