Are stock flat top pistons OK to use on a turbo build with 12psi max boost ?

Yes, along with an intercooler that's fine, 10psi is safe with no intercooler. On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

I wouldn't go above 9:1 for any a-series turbo with a steel head. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph
