Has anyone followed this? I was following initially due to roadkill boys being there which is always a good watch (motortrend channel on YouTube and roadkill series)


Anyways back to the mini stuff, remember project 64? 970cc k-head short stroke with a big turbo. Makes 315 bhp on petrol and 340 on meth. They managed to break two records and did an outstanding 168mph on 12" yoko a048's!

Unfortunately they are out of speed week now as the engine failed with suspected oil pump failure.

A friend is there with the kiwis from CMR and they ran a 195mph ( new class record) with a Nissan NX100... I think it runs a Honda engine at silly rpm though. Also did a first run with their 'never turned a wheel' fwd Amarok dieselpower streamliner. new fancy 8 speed gearbox did not wish to shift (electronics gremlin was sorted afterward) so they only did 87 mph in first gear.

Hmmm, since fast NISsan's are generally known as NISMO's....I wonder what happens when you transplant a HOnda engine?
