Disappointed I never got to use mine.

A friend of mine had a problem with these, the link pipe hits the tie rod when the suspension is fully down on the bump stop.

Wow thanks for the heads up, that could potentially lead to dramatic if not lethal failure.

Do you know whether your friend runs dry or hydro suspension? This is what minispares state on their calipers: IF FITTING TO HYDRO CARS BEWARE OF CLEARANCE PROBLEMS IF ADJ TIE BARS AND NEG CAMBER ARMS ARE FITTED ALTHOUGH NOT ADVISED

Did your friend/SC manage to solve the situation? Again thanks for the heads up!

I thought it was a problem on nearly all 4 pot calipers, they foul full droop full lock.

I thought thats why KAD makes a steering lock plastic thing, for the rack? thats what I had to use on my KAD 6 pots

I sold my Monoblocks because just like the KAD 4 ports they hit the Allspeed Tie bars.

However I have another pair fitted to my lightweight project without any issue, using Force Racing Ti bars.

Very insightful!

I run minisport Grp A adjustable tie rods, did have a look at the KAD ones but decided against them at the time because of limited thread engagement.

The minisport items are rounded where they fit the bottom arm so probably better clearance wise than the square types available.

That being said, a caliper body with internal fluid routing getting in contact with the tie bar is a nuisance....an external link pipe on a monoblock getting bumped/split however is far more serious.

I'm sure it can be dealt with as Alaskanow0 has stated, simply unpacking your new toys...fitting them in record time and going for a test drive seems unwise in this instance.

Good to have this on record here....once again what a great place this forum is! *smiley*

I had the round ones but still rubbed on full lock. Made a ( cant remember how named in England hard white "plastic" thats used on machines) ertalon bushes for steering rack

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

Which calipers are you running?

I've got Wilwood calipers on 10.25" Discs and the caliper hit the tie bars on full lock. Fitted the KAD limiters and now they don't hit anything. The limiters are good for two reasons, firstly, as above, they help prevent the calipers fouling suspension components, secondly, they reduce the torque angle on the CV joints.
