I recently found a very compact thermostat housing found the Kawasaki ninja 250. 18.5mm ID pipes, and hey small thermostat (which I now understand is a typical motorcycle thermostat).

Ive used the ducati cartridge succesfully, but gone back to using a mini stat between two housings, more for simplicity of obtaining spares...... people at mini events will likely have a spare stat and gasket if you were desperate. On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

You have also Land Rover, MGB and BMW 1602/2002 and on these you have temperature choice.
