OK,

Wrong forum but I know some of you are familiar with the Binis.

Anna has to replace her company car (2012 Mini one D) which has the PSA engine which has been totally reliable.

I kind of persuaded her to go for another Bini but when she was going through the specs the power and CO2 figures were obviously different so I googled it and found they (BMW/Bini) now use BMW engines (since 2014), specifically a B37 3 cylinder thing with all sorts of stuff I would tend to avoid like the plague.

I already suffer from owning an early Ford Euro 3 common rail diesel, the PSA venture seems bullet proof having learnt from all the early development, so any thoughts on BMW's venture into this, especially three cylinders.

I know plenty of others use three cylinders nowadays but anything specific on this BMW range ?

EDIT - typo

bmw engines lately seem to like stretching timing chains. 3 cylinder engines from any manufacturer seem to like stretching timing chains, Im going to go out on a limb and say this engine will suffer from stretched timng chains lol they havnt really been about long enough to know if there much cop, I did a little research into them as my misses was looking at them and didnt find any horror stories :)
