Probably one best answers by our friends from across the pond, but a few others may have some experience of them.

Having bought some imperial 1/4 drive sockets in the past and being quite happy with them so far, does anyone have any guidance on the quality of the rest of their stuff? I'm looking at possibly ring spanners and screwdriver sets.

I appreciate they are not snapon or the like but some guidance would be appreciated. Alternatively, any other outlets other than sears for a good selection of quality stuff?

Cheers

Rob

It depends on what tools you are looking for. Generally speaking Craftsman tools are pretty good quality, wrenches, screwdrivers, and the like are quite satisfactory. Here in the States they mostly come with a lifetime guarantee, which is reassuring. But when was the last time you actually broke a wrench or socket? They can be purchased at stores other than Sears, but I can't tell you who handles them. Some of their small machines (drill presses, scroll saws, etc.) bear a striking resemblance to ones found at Harbor Freight for significantly less. As we say on this side of the pond,"your mileage may vary."
Their website is Craftsman.com check them out.

I concuur. They aren't snap on or Mac quality, but good assured quality that you can rely on.
Their screwdrivers are also good, but I've honestly never come across a posi made by craftsman, which limits the appeal somewhat.

And if you need any, shoot me a PM and I'm sure I can assist in liberating some unless you already have a plan

Appreciate the offer Dave. Currently in Florida taking in some sunshine, hence considering the choices available while I'm here

Ah, good good.
I also recommend looking at channel lock tools, particularly pipe grips. Your local lowes or Home Depot will have the best prices.

I picked up some ratchet spanners when I was last over there... They are very nice and feel like good quality. I also got a bottle opener in the form of a wrench... A great little thing!
