1993 mini rover mayfair SORN
Turbo project job lot
I have owned the car for a few years and have done most of the work on it myself. It’s a fairly solid base for a good car. When it was on the road it was very reliable and fun to drive. Used it to do London to Brighton and a couple brands hatch mini days and a few other shows but used it daily for a while but due to going to uni its has sat. Then I’ve started to collect everything for a turbo conversion. 90% of the parts are there. Its down to the final few decisions like cam and fueling to decide. I will try to list all the bit that will come with it. I am selling up all my mini bits as I’ve changed interests in cars for now anyway.
-2x 998cc engines. Both out the car.1 has been pocketed for the 12g295 head. 1 for spares like pistons etc from memory its now a 1019cc with the head and pockets. Compression is 8.25-1 perfect safe margin for decent amount of boost. Balanced crank and flywheel.
-Good condition GT1752 turbo from a breakers (A grade)
-Saab down pipe
-Braided oil feeds from block and “t” piece
-Metro turbo plenum
-Metro turbo dizzy
-Turbo high vol fuel pump
-Fuel reg with return
-Duplex vernier timing chain
-Kent cam duplex timing kit
-The start of a mani for the turbo with out bulkhead mods
-New water pump
-New cooler running spark plug NGK
-New mini spares water hoses
-Std 998cc carb
-Boost and temp gauges
-Brand new ali rad and slim leccy fan
-2 x gear selectors 1 lightened the other std
That is most of the engine bits from which I can remember. The engine is out for a rebuke and to mock up the mani.
As for the shell its had a brand new front a few years ago which was sealed and sprayed new scuttle corners and a new A panel the drivers side sill need replacing which is really easy was going to fix it before the sale but have been doing other projects. I have done a couple minis now and know all the parts that go wrong and rust. The shell is in good condition just needs cleaning up and sorting.

-Rear corners or valance need attention and they’ve cracked when coming of a curb
-5x weller wheels 10x6 with two brand new falkens and 2 camacs
-Tubbed arches
Couple spare steels Two creates of spares including lcb, blower, servos and fans and spare lights etc will come with it.
Price £1800 ono make me an offer want it gone fairly soon for the space. But I will be sad to see it go been reluctant to sell but needs must.
