To avoid these accidentally being used and forking up a lot of work, go ahead and paint a red stripe between the flutes and a band around the top of the threaded section. Actually, Just paint them wherever you want, just bloody paint them before they mess you up. Even if you put them back in the right drawer, you can't be sure they'll never not be accidentally used unless you identify them.

when I used to have a need for imperial and metric tools in my collection, all the imperial ones got a wrap of black electrical tape. allowed me to tell at a glance what was what, as you can eyeball a 3/8 or 10mm from other sizes but not between them turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
