Something a little different, but its a mini underneath.
So I've owned this one for a few years, rebuilt a lot of it, trimmed out the interior, parked it up for winter and never got back to it for over 8 years *oh well*

Its a bit of a longer project as I need to fit (if possible) a pedal box with internal cylinders (old ones lock up every winter), need to change the seats for something slimmer and lower mounting so I can slide them further back and get all 6ft2 of me in the car and no doubt need to replace/rebuild the brakes and all rubber pipe work again.

The good bit is it came with a low mile (3k) med 1380 engine running 10:1 cr, omega pistons, 266 cam and a stage 3 head. When I first had it I switched the carb from a hif44 to a dellorto DHLA with lcb.

Roll on to last week and I decided to get it fired up, plumes of smoke and you might say running slightly rich as fuel was pouring out the throats.

current plan is to get the car up and running on the hif44 which needs a rebuild the question is if I rebuild it with a hif44 turbo kit will it still run ok without a turbo (I need to get it running before I commit and figured one carb rebuild is better than two)

Long term goal, once running and rolling again the head will be removed to open the chambers and drop the cr and take it into the land of boost.

Welcome! Looks like a good basis for a turbo conversion *smiley* Would love to see some more pictures of it!
