Evening lads

Now my classic mini has been sat in a sorry state with Bearly anything being done to it over last 5 years other than a pile of parts forming.

Been think of just braking off and selling it now and replacing it with something like a 32' ford coupe or similar hot rod.

What you guys think? Wouls I regret it been so long since I've driven a classic mini now

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Lost in sence of cars beat me. Didn't finish it what annoys me but the lure of a hot rod is building

32 ford coupe.... we aint talkin small fry mini money now..

My plan would be keep the mini... and buy a 32 coupe aswell

Yeah I k ow man looking between 10k - 20k for one depends on how oringal it is me I'm not fussed I want high boy or I'd take a convertible with wind screen chop few kicking around at the moment

But haven't got the space to have a classic mini a hot rod and keep the r53 aswell

Build the mini, drive it and sell the R53 then build the Ford

Did you fix the BINI engine in the end?
Have you put the floor in your Mini?

My Mini has waited far to long to get roadworthy because I get sidetracked by too many other projects at once. We've almost got our vehicles down from 5 to 2 and I don't regret it, and now actually making progress.

Just finish the mini.

It will get you some cash towards the new project if you still want something else once you've completed it.

If you are planning to build a hot rod what will stop you feeling the same about that in 2/3 years time ?

Take a break away from cars and then come back and finish what you started

Was gonna buy a road worth running hot rod

And Phil Yeah the r53 has a new engine in it just redone all the rear end brakes and bushes ao that's running a treat got 199.3 BHP on the dyno not bad considering its only for a cat back and panel filter on It. And the classic hasn't got a floor in it yet as I was cutting into the door step so I could weld a datum edge in I cut through a chunk of filler that extends into the rear quarter panel. Because of this I'm sick of the classic more filler than a max power saxo

Dont give in on the poor lil mini.. its not its fault someone bodged it with filler once upon a time..

Do the mini one panel at a time its a great investment and something to do. . It's your dream. Imagine your mini with 180 HP all done wow!

Chalkie, sell that hateful SIP welder and invest a decent one that actually works. Days are getting longer and warmer, you'll could sail through that list before could Summer is over.

Phil it's money dude the r53 is chewing through my monthly wage atm due to common issues.

Yeah I need to sell that welder. I do have a shed loads of spares I don't need so may sell them and buy panelsn

The r53 isn't going anywhere. It's all been the common bini issues recently go wrong only got one 2 left to fix and that's drive door actuator and pass air bag light is on easy fix on both.

I've had my fair share of thoughts through the years over different cars, most I've never acted on.

Follow your dream of the hotrod if that is what you want. The only thing I would say is that the value of the mini is Likely going to increase and it may cost you a fair chunk more if you decide to come back to one later
