Just bought a gt1752 off eBay, got to modify it abit to get it to work, had to drill the holes out as the studs are on the manifold but one is too tight to get the nut on the back, and the actuator is gonna need spinning to the opposite side, has anyone had these problems before? If so have you got any pictures of what you did to overcome it?

The easiest way is it to remove the studs from the turbo and fit them into the manifold threads, then relieve the turbo like this to fit a nut. The housings will need rotating to your required position, as they sit differently to the Saab position. Depending on how you have the compressor housing positioned to suit the hose plumbing an actuator bracket needs to be made to suit. Hope this helps?

Yes mate that's sound thanks! Only problem I've got is I've already drilled the threads out of the turbo so I can use the studs on the manifold like a idiot! So I've got no option then to chop a bit out on the turbo!

To get clearance for that nut I just "eased" the turbo casting with the angle grinder

Ryan. Just to be clear, the photos the Tadge44 has posted are modifications to fit a GT17 to Metro turbo manifold.

I believe you've got a Mirage/Matty style.

Thanks Gary - this old bugger is steadily getting more senile, daily.

Ye I do have a matty manifold, just gonna have to knick a little bit out with the grinder! And change the place of the actuator!
