Hy. So yesterday disaster struck and i have cut off 2 fingers from my right hand side with a table saw trying to save a student from his fingers getting cut off... ( ironie all over)


There is a good chance that they wil recover after sewing them back on... but in mean time i sit here bored awake and in pain most of the day and night. Having read almost the whole forum i was wondering if anyone has good links to read or lecture to recommend?

sit on youtube and pineterest to pas time. and some emo moments in the garage looking at the cars and sitting in the turbo. ( spend 1.5 hours changing a wheel with one hand to get rid of the nerves .... revo's make it interesting.... )

full recovery isnt posible. the blade jankt out half of the nerves. hope they grow back on but they will never get full feeling back. shit an hour takes a life time if you cant do shit. start to reed up on the twini mini to.

Now I can imagine that's a bugger cutting off a couple of fingers. But the saying goes that your not a qualified wood machinist until you have cut a finger or two off. I survived 15 years as a bench joiner until I broke out into the great outdoors, but I had my fare share of close shaves. Hang in there fella.

had my fair chare of shaves and bruses on my hands. the luck is that the surgeon is one who is 25 years specialist in hand surgery. he did tell me that in 25 years he never seen a wound like this one from a cutting blade. halfway the surgery he called in a second hand surgeon to assist and give it a go togheter. i lay there awake ( only hand was sedated) listening to a 20 minute discussion whether to amputate them complete now or give it a 14 day test to see what happens. im a positive person but do most admit it goes up and down at the moment. ill trust in them ( together they have 48 years of experience using latest technologie)

chin up though my grandad lost 2 fingers in an industrial accident, they was off for hours before being stuck back on,
told they would never work properly
he has no feeling in the fingers but fully usable

Read on line. I know I can get some of the others as emags on the iPad. I prefer the paper copy myself but if you cant get it, it would be the next best thing

checkup. the lumbs of meat and skin take pretty good but the nerve that remained in there is death. but it seems that the fingers will stay. rob gavin thnx for that link. i spend already lots of money there and the plans for a twinny are growing.
