Due to a change of direction my Turbo engine will shortly be up for sale. Spoken to a few people about how much it's worth so please advise me if you think I'm being unreasonable with the figure.

Right spec as follows.

Will take videos the weekend too of her running, driving etc...

MED 1293 cc Group “A” Forced Induction Special short engine 

• Crank ground, ni-tempered, x/drilled, wedged etc. 

• Ultralight Flywheel, Paddle Clutch/Grey Plate 

• MED T5 Turbo cam and duplex chain with vernier timing 

• lightened and polished con rods with ARP bolts 

• 4 bolt centre strap 

• OMEGA FIS Forged Pistons 18cc dish (for low compression)
• MED ‘S” Dampers c.w. engine management pickup 

• Ported, “11 bolt” Metro turbo head
• Silicon hoses throughout, including SfS Performance 63mm Intercooler hoses and murray clips 

• New radiator and 16row oil cooler c.w. braided oil cooler hoses 

• Red Dump Valve 

• Stainless Plenum 
Turbo-minis T3 Enlarged and flowed exhaust elbow and exhaust manifold 

• New High Pressure Turbo fuel pump 

• Ford RS aluminium Intercooler 

• Overhauled HIF 44 turbo carb


Engine cost 4500 new from MED minus all the ancillaries etc!

Also have the gearbox for an additional cost which is still currently fitted
4 speed Straight cut, close ratio JKnight Gearbox, 4-pin diff & 3.1 CWP 
JKnight Straight cut drops 


And the full megajolt system if anyone is also interested
Mega jolt c.w. EDIS & coil pack etc. 


My Mini was also featured in Mini Magazine last September with this engine fitted. So have a look at your old mags too haha.

So prices
Engine minus gearbox £2500?
G/Box £600?
Megajolt £400?

All these are guides please make me and offer. Just stating these to forum rules.

What gauges are you using ?
Personally you world struggle for the price of the megajolt
Gearbox looks a fair price
Engine I hate to say but maybe worth putting the fellers out for breaking it up could be wrong but it will be quicker sale and possibly a better return

How much power did it put out and what boost have you ran it at?

Hi, I'd be interested in the megajolt for the right price, can you expand on what it includes ie loom, Trigger wheel or pulley etc and I'll pm you

Gearbox is priced right, megajolt is priced about double what its worth.

Engine is subjective but I'd say nearer £2k

Made 148 at 8/9 psi. Also forgot to add has a Avonbar actuator!

Yeah with trigger wheel pick up etc and edis loom everything you need. All in good working order will get a video the weekend as I say as the engine is still in the Mini

A complete kit?
Imagined it would be more than that...?

Also is it about the right price to the gearbox with the drops at 600 or do you think more to include drops?

Just some TIM ones although going to be changing to smiths some point in the near future.

I'm open to offers on this stuff as I say just put it up to what I thought off the top of my head really
