Not everyone is as savvy as us bunch of nob heads when it comes to the old injection, granted I've no doubt it would be much better on an Ecu, but 250bhp isn't to be sniffed at regardless!!

I took the mk1 to some jap car drift King RR in Guildford. On calling them to ask could they take my mini the bloke was like sure, we run 70000bhp skilines YO!!! So I Was thinking cool.. As it was wheel spinning on mini speeds RR.


Gets there gets the car off the taller and fills up with fuel, bloke comes to meet me. He went to look at the engine after standing for about 15mins looking at it, he asked where have you fitted the injectors ?.

I said there is none lol it's a carb "oooooooooooooooo I can't do them mate! I have no idea how they work.. I said not to worry I just want to see how it holds up at top end and see how the fuelling is at big boost..

After it had 3 or 4 runs I was starting to feel like a freak show! As there was about 10 blokes (staff) standing looking on to see what the noise was! But after it was running the big numbers they was very shocked that the old tech was still making the curlywurlys and bananas.
