I'm currently looking at small denso alternators for the micra project. I need something this size, but will 40/45amp be really be enough power.

It's will have to run

Mpi tank
Ecu
Injectors
Cool pack
Lights
Stereo & small amp
Stack dash
Heated screen

With lights and heated screen on I reckon it might run close.

Yes, I had a 60amp one that I sold at bingley recently.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Well I've just bought a new denso 40amp for £40, so I'll see how it goes. It's good to know I could upgrade to the 60amp version if need be.

I'll just have to be careful and not run everthing all at once. I'm fitting the biggest battery available due to running 11.6-1CR.

My 40amp was not really up to task last time around, so this time I have gone for a 60amp just so your awear its bigger in size.

I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

Nothing is impossible it just costs more and takes longer.

i cant remember if mine was a 45a or a 65a now, but i do know with
fuel pump,
ecu,
coil,
laptop,
lights,
fans..
( also water injection 10+a on its own)

its was too much at idle, but i didnt have them all on at once and when on the move sorta 2krpm+ it kept stuff topped up
i did however have a 50 some Ah battery

i seem to remember your gonna use a small Ah battery....you sorta need enough amps from the alternator all the time imo

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

koso dash
3x gauges

i believe the denso one on have is a 60A seems to be up to snuff but ive also got a red top optima battery that really dose have some balls to it altho its heavy as fuck

im running the norm stuff + spot lts
ecu, coils, dual fans, fuel pump, IC water pump, normal lights, 2x130w spots + 2x60W floods on with 60w high beams i use them quite often at night as im out in the sticks just the lights if ive got the lot going is 42A its probaly close to 60A with everything electrical tuned on at once id guess but since its not all on at once it seams to cope

Why not just use the Micra denso alternator?
Should be more than up to the job as the Micra has all the electronics you have (and more), and you can pick them up for under 12 quid
