I bought a stack of new old stock belts (about 100) although a few are a bit perished so can't be used, I got those off ebay and I think they cost me about £30-£35 On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

These seem OK - delivery is about £6 and they are the right 451mm length

I have a cheapo belt sander which uses 457mm belts, I snapped my last powerfile belt one day and out of desperation I cut a spare belt into 12mm strips, hey presto! and you get a better choice of grit grades. The spring loaded end of the powerfile is just enough to tension slightly longer belt.

B&D abrasives sell correct length power file belts. Big packs nice and cheap and they are Norton. |

I always use abtec abrasives for my belts and flap wheels. The aluminium oxide 451mm belts work out at £40 Inc delivery for 100, cheaper if you buy more. They do zirconia belts as well but only 457mm

I've been using these on my pneumatic belt sander recently and they've lasted as well as the branded 3M belts I had perviously.
