False economy to use a dizzy. A metro turbo one will do the job, but if you're spending money on a decent engine and manifold and turbo etc, do the ignition properly.

Just had a quick look on there website and the aldon unit looks like a good call for 200 squids..... how does it differ to the 123 dizzys where you can program the advance curve? |

Mappable ignition really is the way to go. Mapped properly it will make the car much more drive able and adjust the ignition timing automatically as you turn the boost up or down. If you are spending money on the rest of the package to handle 15 pound of boost, it's false economy not doing the ignition right.

When you finally do go mappable ignition after forking out for a dizzy.. you'd kick yaself that you didnt do it from the start.. On 24th Oct, 2015 jonny f said:

I'm looking to get the mini finished for the start of the summer so I might give aldons unit a punt. Sounds like it will do what I want at a reasonable cost and not take long to fit

I've not used the Aldon, but I spoke to them while they were developing it and it's well thought out.
