bright green A class winner at showdown.. anyone remember?

Basically looking to see if the owner has any kind of build thread anywhere on the internet?

It was/is a bright green mini with black tribal on it, and had matching tow transit van? I came 2nd to it 2 or 3 years running at the showdown in class A under 1100cc..

I believe it was an n/a 1100cc running somewhere in the 15 second mark?
Anyone know of it? Im not a member of any other mini forums so it maybe on there? I havent seen it for a while now tho, i think it may of been bright orange many moons ago?

Think it featured in mini mag once, might be worth looking online for back copies

It was basically very light and made decent power with a large overbored 998. Big cam, 940 head and a webber.

Just wanted to see some pics of it.. i knew it was crazy light? Am i right in remembering he didnt even run a rad or an alternator to keep the weight to a minimum? Or did i dream this? Is the car still in use?

It had a big front rad, not sure if he binned the alternator.

Not spoken to him for a few years tbh.

A rough power and weight would do if u do speak to him... i have tried searchin for pics but none are close up

Yes, that is his name. And if you google it you'll find the name of his wife and 4 kids, but no piccies of his car!

Had to do it.... just got a guy winning an oscar lol, take it thats not him hahaha

I think it was about 470kg, when I spoke to him in 2011. And yes he didn't have alternator.

It had a fully worked alloy 5 port head. No rollcage. Built just for 1/4 mile really.

It's what kind of inspired me back then.

In my eyes i was never gonna come close to beating him so i was chuffed enough with my 2nd place trophys... aslong i kept off the few others in that class

I think ive got the miniworld mag that it was originally featured in when it was orange and had ka/fiesta seats in ....

The last time I saw it was at a rolling road day. He had just put the alloy head on and it made mid 60's ATW, iirc. But it was a very light car.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Came across some pics of this, holes in his boot? Holes just to be lighter? OR holes to let air out cos possibly no boot floor? Hmm....
