Back in 09/10 i sold my volcano orange cooper mpi because of circumstances..
and whilst trying to find some wheels on gumtree that a friend told me about i came across a 1998 volcano orange 'project' i thought "no.. no.. please nooo" but then theres the plate R821 XOA and i actually shed a tear...

That's not too far from me. . . .
Might go and have a look. Bit of time with the pressure washer and it would look a bit less sad perhaps.

I remember selling my first cooper, J54 EUB. Really tidy, standard carb cooper in black. A year later there wasn't a straight panel on it and you couldn't see the floor inside for crisp packets and pop bottles!

Aw this is horrible! But this is exactly why I could never get rid of mine even if I hate him for a little while. I'd hate myself even more seeing him with massive arches spray painted bright green boy racered up a few years down the line.. Or smashed up!

But it back I regret selling my mpi the only difference is that the owner has taken really good care of it. Plus looking at the state of the paint I would have thought you could knock a fair few £ of it?

Thanks guys.. glad ya can share my pain, if i had space id probably buy it back.. if it had its original bonnet n boot that for some reason not there? N the door tops werent cut off id really consider having it back!
