as a bit of a distraction from the metro, my thoughts are turning to the mini again. Tempted to stick some tax on it and get it out on the road through the winter.

one matter I never really sorted was the suspension set-up. it is currently horrendous on the road so its long overdue.

currently, the car has adjustable tie bars and standard bottom arms at the front. before I spend any cash on the set-up, do you think I should get adjustable bottom arms on it?

also, for road set-up, any suggestions for the rest? running, hilos, adjustable rear camber and castor brackets etc

cheers

Rob

IMO the ajustable stuff is always worth it, pretty rare that they are that close to straight from the factory.

I'd definitely get everything adjustable and set up.
It makes a massive difference to how the car behaves.

This is also something I'll be doing soon… is it easy enough to set up by myself.. or would you have it done professionally?

I thought about setting mine up by myself but in the end decided to let someone who knows what there doing do it.
I used sotham mini and metro centre do mine. Was spot on!

Cheers guys. My issue is going to be getting someone locally who can set up something with the 10's on it. Most places are claiming 13" wheels are the smallest their equipment will fit

10s and a low car are a pain.

I had mine all done at kwick fit. Hated by some, but I'm friendly with the chaps in the local one and they're kit is excellent. I had to take all the arches off first. The heads only just got on the 10s.

I do it myself now.

Adjustable arms are a must for any mini in my opinion.

And on car adjustable ones are a god send rather than having to unbolt the arm to adjust it !!!
